Department/Division Purpose (brief description of main function):

The Administration and Finance Department serves to ensure PCC operates within the requirements of Federal and State laws and policies, to ensure the fiscal competency of public funds, to achieve efficient delivery of administrative services, and to maintain respectability of public investments in infrastructure and programs.

Job Summary Statement (brief summary of overall responsibility of position):

The Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services is a senior leader at Pueblo Community College and is a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet. The vice president serves as the chief financial officer and senior operations officer and strategically leads finance and campus operations. In collaboration with the President’s Cabinet, the vice president will shape strategy to ensure the College’s financial health in support of PCC’s educational mission.
Additionally, the Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services provides strategic and operational management, planning and leadership for the building and facilities maintenance program, capital construction, risk management, and auxiliary operations. The Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services is a systemic and creative thinker who looks for opportunities in their areas of responsibility to ensure that fiscal resources are aligned with improving outcomes for students and employees.

This position has been identified by Pueblo Community College as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Department of Education guidelines.  As a Campus Security Authority, the incumbent in this position is required to report crimes that they become aware of to the Department of Public Safety at Pueblo Community College and must attend annual training related to these responsibilities.

In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes 24-50-135, this position has been exempted from the State Personnel System.
