The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Sr. Business Analyst/Project Manager – Data Warehouse to join our System Office IR/BI team. In this role you’ll conduct a system-wide needs analysis to learn about our colleges’ and System Office’s dashboard, reporting, and analytic needs to gain understanding of pain points around data and analytics. You’ll work independently and as an effective team member to create use cases and identify and document all requirements for a new data warehouse. This position offers you the opportunity to be a leader in setting or refining standards to support further development and maturity of the data warehouse.

Note: This position is term-limited until 17 months from the employee’s start date. The role may be extended, based on the availability of future funding.

Duties Include:

• Collaborate with business users in college functional user groups such as Institutional Research, Registrars, Schedulers, Academic Advisors, as well as leaders in the system-wide Analytics Committee to develop business cases and to develop comprehensive, specific project requests.
• Work with the Data Governance Committee to analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures at the colleges, the system, and within IRBI.
• Use the results of the needs analysis to generate a roadmap of organized, coherent business requirements that database architects and developers can understand and use to build out the data warehouse and data products
• Follow project management guidelines and processes to develop, maintain, and track project plans, conduct project meetings, and report project status.
• Identify, verify, and record task dependencies, task efforts, and durations. Create accurate, detailed, and organized project task details. Manage resource allocation/contention across projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience working in a Data Warehouse environment.
• Experience in using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Clarity, PPM Pro, Team Dynamix, Excel, etc.).
• Two years of working with SQL.
