Department/Division Purpose (brief description of main function):

Pre-College Programs provides alternative programs that include: Adult Basic Education and Gateway to College Programs at the Pueblo, Fremont and SCCC-East campus.   The Gateway to College National Network/Achieve the Dream supports communities in building sustainable pathways for disconnected youth to a high school diploma and a meaningful postsecondary credential through a dual enrollment focus.

Job Summary Statement (brief summary of overall responsibility of position):

The Resource Specialist is responsible for recruitment, direct support services and retention efforts to students enrolled in Gateway to College.  This individual also serves as a part of the Pre-College Program team, which includes support of program needs, data input, coordinating and facilitating group information sessions, designs and delivers workshops, small training sessions, and instructs classes for student success. The schedule for this position will primarily be Monday – Friday; however, there may be infrequent modifications during peak periods.  Applicants will be available during hours of program needs, which could include evenings and Saturdays.
