The Senior Grants Accountant supports functions of the College, including the input, review and reconciliation of accounting data, documentation of accounting processes, and maintenance of internal controls. This position assists in the maintenance and efficient use of financial systems and in developing and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures established to safeguard College assets. The Senior Grants Accountant provides billing and reporting services to internal and external customers, as well as ensuring compliance with restricted fund grants, contract agreements and general fund accounting.
The Senior Grants Accountant reviews and interprets Federal regulations, OMB Circulars, State of Colorado Fiscal Rules, Colorado Community College System regulations, grant agreements and other applicable regulations and guidelines. This position is responsible for restricted fund grants and contract accounting for specific federal, state, local, and privately funded grants, and contracts. Must provide billing and reporting services, as well as ensure compliance with grant and contract agreements and the Colorado Community College Foundation office. This position must maintain accurate and timely financial reporting of all transactions in compliance with relevant accounting, state and federal laws and guidelines, and internal district policies and to assist in other required reporting, budget preparation, and analysis. This position works closely with the Assistant Controller and provides leadership for Staff Accountants.
