Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Instructional Operations, the Schedule Coordinator provides specialized technical support to the development and articulation of the schedule of classes. This position implements and oversees the academic scheduling activities (e.g., course fit patterns, advance registration, block scheduling, course changes, new courses, and schedule production) and assists managers with various reports and analysis related the assigned areas. This position is focused on determining how the college will achieve and implement strategic scheduling of courses for student success. In conjunction with the Associate Dean for Instructional Operations, the Schedule Coordinator works with deans, chairs, and faculty to prepare a core course schedule that best serves students, aligns with published academic plans, and ensures efficient course offerings for students.
The Schedule Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for class section building for each program area, accurately enters course data into the Banner student information system, stays abreast of academic programs of study by attending Curriculum Committee meetings regularly.
The Schedule Coordinator performs schedule analysis for strategic course building and efficient schedule production. Coordinates with Instructional Deans and Dean of Enrollment Management on scheduling efficiency and processes any necessary schedule changes/edits for the department. Collaborates and coordinates with instructional stakeholders and other campus departments to facilitate curricular and cocurricular events. This position provides leadership in training colleagues on Banner processes and technology as it comes available.
