Department Information: The RRCC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established in 1991 with the vision of removing the financial barrier and helping students of all income levels to have access to higher education. Now, more than 28 years later, generous supporters have provided more than $17 million in donations allowing the Foundation to award more than 6.4 million dollars in scholarships and over 5.6 million dollars for other Red Rocks Community College programs, and assisted nearly 3,800 students in meeting their educational and life goals.

In addition to its extensive and award-winning Foundation Scholarship Program, the RRCC Foundation is engaged in several other program areas, including the Faculty Teaching Chairs, the Foundation Board of Director's Innovation Grant Program, the Mini-Grants and Dr. Agneta Albinsson GrantsEmployee Book Fund, and supporting other college initiatives. Goals: Provide support to the College through effective fundraising and programs. Increase public awareness of the College and the benefits it provides the community. Provide counsel and community input to the College.

Position Summary: The Operations Manager works as a member of the RRCC Foundation team to carry out annual fundraising goals and objectives as determined by the Executive Director in alignment with RRCC leadership and the RRCC Foundation Board of Directors. Responsible for supporting the administrative and operational needs of the RRCC Education Foundation including overall organizational management processes, grant support and follow up, communications support, administrative leadership, and volunteer and board support.

Description of Position


Operations Management:

Manage the day-to-day activities of the Foundation in alignment with the policies of the Foundation and College.  Lead the implementation of strategic planning objectives. Implement effective policies for external resource development, board development and institutional advancement of the College. Assist the Executive Director in the planning and implementation for the board and board committee activities.

Manage the accounting system/banking reconciliation, journal entries, posts to general ledger and preparing reports for the accountant. Prepare for the annual audit as needed. Prepare preliminary annual organizational budget, including scholarship budget. Ensure compliance and reporting to maintain 501 (c)(3) non-profit status.

Foundation Fundraising and Stewardship:

Oversee the implementation of fundraising campaigns, special events and donor stewardship activities, including prospect research, campaign materials, donor solicitation, stewardship-related documents and recognition of donors.

Carryout the development of strategic partnerships related to grant proposal development on behalf of the RRCC Foundation. Manage all grants and related reporting. Serve as the database administrator for the CRM platform for donors and alumni relations.


Direct supervision of professional, administrative and hourly staff.  Including the planning for performance and professional growth. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of activities that advance the mission of the Foundation including all programming, marketing, donor communication, and outreach to college departments.
