The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Director of CTE Performance to join our Career & Technical Education (CTE) team. Examples of Duties

In this role you will be responsible for ongoing Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the Twenty-first Century Act (Perkins V) grant review, grant performance coaching, professional development for grantees, and review of data as it relates to other reports and initiatives, such as School Performance Frameworks for secondary grantees and institutional level equity goals for postsecondary grantees. You will provide guidance for evaluation and ensure quality in all aspects of CCCS’s CTE programs to achieve the goals of the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the Twenty-first Century Act and Career & Technical Act. You will also support the project management, technical assistance, user training, and security of the CTE data collection systems, web applications, and report tools needed for state and federal accountability reporting and CTE program review. This position supervises one employee.

Other duties for this role include

  • Ensuring successful project completion of assigned projects and performance indicators while working closely with project stakeholders across the state to monitor and communicate progress, milestones, and critical dates to ensure initiatives and projects meet implementation expectations.
  • Engaging in and managing projects for creation and implementation of relevant data dashboards, visualization, and reporting tools to support the CTE strategic plan and Perkins grant implementation.
  • Supporting the Assistant State Director for CTE Accountability with planning and project management for the Colorado CTE Gateway project.
  • With the Assistant State Director for CTE Accountability, initiate, organize, and drive the scoping of Gateway development enhancements to improve user experience.
  • Providing direction and guidance for Perkins grant-related processes across secondary districts and consortia, Department of Corrections, System, non-System, and the Area Technical Colleges.
  • Reviewing applicable policies and procedures, researching issues, analyzing institutional data, preparing reports for internal stakeholders, and making recommendations for process improvement and policy development.
  • Providing direction and professional development to the field for using data and administering CTE programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
  • Three years of career and technical education administration (or equivalent leadership experience in business or industry) or teaching experience.
  • Experience with federal Perkins grant requirements.
  • Experience in strategic planning and project management.
