POSITION SUMMARY

The Academic Administrative Support Specialist provides executive administrative services and support to Teaching and Learning Transformation Hub’s Executive Director and Directors of instructional support services.

The person in this role is expected to be successful in a highly active and rapidly changing work environment. They will develop, support and maintain complex projects and processes, collect data and perform basic data analysis, perform tasks related to procurement and budget support, and manage calendars.

This position will work primarily on-campus during regular business hours of operation which may include some evenings. Some remote work is possible.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support with clerical duties like space maintenance and organization, answering to communications, sorting and filing documents, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, photocopying and printing, making reservation for events and meetings, and support event organizations
Collaborate in initiatives to improve, implement, and sustain processes and practices as determined by the Executive Director, particularly those that fall under the areas of responsibility of the Teaching and Learning Transformation Hub
Carry out research project on a broad variety of educational and operational topics
Collect data and perform basic data analysis to support projects and data-informed decision-making processes
Create, proofread, and/or edit documents for internal and external communications, some of them including data visualizations
Design, implement, and support data and documentation processing and management systems
Represent the Teaching and Learning Transformation Hub at institutional groups as assigned by the Executive Director
Engage in professional development opportunities to maintain skill level, expand knowledge, and develop skills critical to this role
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree, Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Excellent customer service skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational, attention to detail, predictive, and time-management abilities
Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft 365 applications
Basic experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting
Proved critical thinking, problem-solving, and deductive reasoning skills
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a highly active and rapidly changing environment
Distinct openness to continual learning
Ability to work independently
