Description

The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Sr. Unified Communications Administrator to join our System Office Network Technologies team. Examples of Duties

In this role, you’ll plan, develop, maintain, and enhance the CCCS Unified Communications (UC) systems and facilitate the optimal utilization, operation, and performance of the UC network, providing support and recommendations. You’ll assist the Network Technologies team in the planning, development, maintenance, and enhancement of CCCS’s LAN and WAN to support unified communications across the CCCS network. This position also assists in the planning, development, maintenance, and enhancement of new and existing UC technologies installations within the CCCS colleges.
 

  • Configures, manages, and monitors network/system resources. Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems. Develops and maintains Network/System procedures to ensure the integrity and usability of the Network/System resources.
  • Configures, manages, and monitors the CCCS IP Telephony Cisco Unified Communications Managers, Cisco Unity voice mail systems, Cisco Contact Center Express (UCCX), Infortel Call Accounting Application, Intrado E911 DataBase, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco VCS, Cisco Jabber, Cisco Webex, Cisco Teams, SingleWire Informacast, E-Fax, and associated unified communication applications. Provides diagnostic testing, system troubleshooting, and restoration when problems are encountered. Schedules and updates system software when new releases and patches are made available from the vendor.
  • Specifies, orders, plans, schedules, and performs Unified Communications hardware and software installations, configurations, upgrades, and modifications to enhance the performance, capacity, integrity, and usability and ensure upward compatibility of the Network.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field. Relevant education and/or experience in the appropriate technical and management areas may be considered as a substitute for formal education.
  • Two years of experience with current industry VoIP technologies that includes design, installation, setup, and configuration of Cisco VoIP products.
