The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Cyber Security Analyst to join our System Office Information Security team. In this role you’ll be responsible for providing day to day security support and assisting in the administration of an enterprise-wide security program including technical support for various security systems. You’ll monitor and analyze security system logs, alerts, and utilize tools to ensure that systems are operating correctly and securely. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing technical support in the design, implementation, and monitoring the security for technical systems.
Examples of Duties
- Actively monitor, analyze, detect, alert, and respond to security events, threats, and vulnerabilities generated by various security technologies owned by CCCS.
- Provide technical guidance and support of security department resources for CCCS customers.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot security issues.
- Investigate reported security breaches and recommend corrective actions with team members across CCCS.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments of CCCS systems and networks with cybersecurity tools owned by CCCS.
- Monitor the activities of the IT environment to detect cyber attacks and assist various teams in implementing steps to mitigate threats before they cause a major disruption to operations.
- Review, investigate, and respond to real-time cyber security alerts within the CCCS environment according to the security incident response policy and procedures.
