Department Summary: The RRCC Enrollment Management Office implements strategies and tactics to shape the enrollment of the institution to improve student outcomes and meet institutional goals.

Summary of position: This position is responsible for developing, managing, and providing project support for student success initiatives, and centralized services in support of the College’s strategic plan. The position provides project management and operational leadership and informs the direction of the College with regard to the utilization of EAB Navigate software and data analytics. They will work collaboratively with faculty, department/program chairs, directors, deans, and external partners to ensure that college processes, communications, and operational workflows are clear, consistent, and timely. This position will work collaboratively with instruction, student services, and administrative staff to establish an environment supportive of student success initiatives and the college strategic plan.

 

Description of Position

 

Leadership and strategic planning for student success and analytical tools:

  • Establish the direction, goals, implementation strategy, and procedures relating to the EAB Navigate Student Success product and related functions.
  • Lead the implementation and related updates of EAB Navigate student success technology. Serve as the subject matter expert supporting the EAB tool, Navigate, and assist in implementing and testing new updates.
  • Direct the efforts of and report on accountability of departmental staff with College leadership regarding compliance with the security and usage of Navigate.
  • Formulate and administer annual operating budget as appropriate. With appropriate approval, may procure agreements for materials or services.
  • Advise senior administrators in implementing programs, new initiatives, and special projects.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships throughout the college and Colorado Community College System including serving as the RRCC representative on the CCCS Navigate Functional Group.
  • Oversee communications, promotions, and ongoing training related to Navigate and other strategic projects in order to achieve College and Student Affairs goals and objectives for RRCC to CCCS and at the national level.
  • Work collaboratively with Academic Advising and Instruction to develop & implement academic plans, success indicators, early alerts, and associated analytical tools.
  • Provide analytics and strategic direction regarding EAB Navigate's development, progress, implementation, and utilization; including risk, issues, and resources to deliver successfully. Document procedures and reference materials as needed.
  • Support all emerging Pathways, retention, and completion initiatives through the utilization of EAB Navigate.
  • Serve as the liaison to EAB. Stay up to date on all new functionality of the tools and interpret data as needed, working collaboratively with EAB consultant while advocating Works with RRCC, EAB, and external stakeholders to answer end-user questions and adjudicate any technical or data issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining an inclusive working environment free from discrimination and harassment.

 

Project Management and Operations:

  • Develop work processes, implement software, and research other system initiatives for possible implementation.
  • Compile and analyze data related to assessment, budget requests, Strategic Enrollment Management, retention, and student success.
  • Assist College leadership with successful implementation and completion of projects.
  • Participate in College and external committees, and professional organizations (i.e., EAB/RRCC Leadership team, CCCS meetings, etc.) in order to stay current on changes and new strategies and requirements being implemented.
  • Collaborate with all facets of the college to meet college goals, and participate in special projects/duties as needed.
  • Coordinate, implement, and maintain continuous improvement of the college Early Academic Alert process, procedures, reporting, and strategies.  Collaborate appropriately with key stakeholders in Instruction, Advising, and Dean of Students.

Training and Systems Development:  

  • Develop and provide ongoing training to RRCC end-users regarding the EAB Navigate student success platform, including:
    1. Onboarding new users.
    2. Updating current users on new features.
    3. Updating user access and performing security audits as needed (i.e., removing former employees, changing user roles and responsibilities, etc.).
    4. Developing infographics to clarify features, tools, and appropriate usage.
    5. Preparing and updating useful documentation and manuals for the use of Navigate.
    6. Providing training for external partners as requested.
  • Serve as helpdesk to triage end-user support issues and requests
    1. Determine if issues/questions are related to an internal RRCC issue or a broader success tool issue that needs to be communicated to EAB and/or CCCS.

Systems Integration:

  • Serve as a primary leader in ensuring student information and management systems align with the Academic Catalog, including Navigate, Banner, Degree Works, etc.
  • Monitor systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness by collecting and analyzing performance data and user feedback.
  • Advise senior leadership on opportunities to improve student experiences and outcomes related to this position’s responsibilities.
