This temporary part-time position is located in the Security Department at Colorado Community College System and will work with the current night shift staff. Position will provide excellent customer service and a safe learning and working environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors. Position will observe and patrol buildings, grounds, and parking lots on foot, patrol vehicle, ATV or bicycle. Answer calls for service in a reasonable time and contact emergency agencies as needed for emergency situations. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with local law enforcement officials. Enforce State, Federal, and College policies on the Lowry Campus. Perform tours of the campus buildings with the Proguard Guard Tour System during each scheduled shift. Provide safety escorts to various locations on campus for staff and students. Lock and unlock entries and exits for authorized usage at scheduled times, checking proper identification and record information on Daily Log. Administrative duties include record keeping and utilizing computer to complete and maintain all paperwork related to public safety including writing reports and responding to emails, completing time sheets and leave requests, passing information to proper work leads and other staff members as needed.
