The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring an Access & Disability Services Professional to join our Student Affairs group at CCCOnline, which will transition to Colorado Online @ by May of 2025. In this role you will work internally within Colorado Online @ and across the Colorado Community College System to develop and maintain all aspects of the CCCS and Colorado Online @ disability support services for online courses. The position works closely with the Accommodations and Disability offices at the CCCS colleges to ensure related services are appropriately supported within online delivered courses. The position ensures that Colorado Online @ courses comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

The job duties presented here represent duties as they will be performed under the Colorado Online @ model. Through the remainder of the CCCOnline transition, this position may be tasked with additional or altered job duties that support CCCOnline functions. 

Duties Include:

  • Manage the CCCS and Colorado Online @ accommodation process in coordination with Disability offices at the CCCS colleges to ensure compliance. Train and assist instructors and staff in interpreting the requirements of specific accommodation requests. Acts as the point of contact for staff, instructors, and students with disabilities that may impact a student’s ability to succeed in their online courses.
  • Consult with Colorado Online @ and CCCS administration on ADA compliance issues and risk mitigation. Collect, analyze, and share accommodation data with the Colorado Online @ team to ensure courses are accessible.
  • Coordinate and facilitate faculty workshops and training, and work with faculty/instructors individually to help ensure proper implementation of any required accommodations.
  • In partnership with the Learning Design and Academic Technology teams, coordinate appropriate remediation as needed. Foster inclusive practice in teaching and learning activities within online courses.
  • Provide expertise to Instructional Design team and Online Librarian regarding the accessibility of course materials.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Rehabilitation Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Two years of experience in disability services or closely related field, which includes experience working with the Americans with Disabilities Act and sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
